Whoever has health has good fortune.
Whoever has merit has life.
Whoever is content has wealth and hobility.
Whoever is at ease is carefree.
聰明者不迷
正見者不邪
有容者不妒
心靜者不煩
Wise people are not deluded.
Those who know Buddhism are not corrupted.
Magnanimous people are not jealous.
Serene people are not bothered by adversity.
涉世不難于變化，難于慎重
做事不難于敏達，難于深忍
發心不難于勇銳，難于持久
學道不難于慧解，難于證悟
In society,confronting challenges is easier than shrinking them.
In business,intelligence is easier than tolerance.
In practice,diligence at the beginning is easier than persistence to the end.
In Buddhism,understanding the teachings is easier than becoming enlightened.
道不學不明本源
戒不守不知過錯
禅不參不識自性
迷不悟不能解脫
If you do not walk the path,you cannot realize your Buddha nature.
If you do not observe the precepts,you will not know your transgressions.
If you do not practice meditation,you cannot realize your true nature.
If you are not enlightened,you cannot liberate yourself from suffering.
忠信可以進德
莊敬可以避禍
寬恕可以延壽
信仰可以悟道
Loyalty and reliability enhance virtue.
Self-respect and self-reliance stave off misfortune.
Magnanimity prolongs life.
Faith leads to enlightenment.
貧病之時知朋友
患難之時識真情
進退之時懂分雨
得失之時通因果
Real friends help when you are poor or sick.
True friends stay with you in adversity.
Whether you advance or retreat,do it the right way.
Gain and loss follow the law of causality.
親近良師聞法樂
聞法奉行安穩樂
安穩和合寂滅樂
寂滅離苦解脫樂
When you learn from good teachers,you can possess the Dharma joy.
When you practice the teaching,you can be peaceful and harmonious.
Peace and harmony lead to nirvana.
Nirvana brings the joy of liberation.
善惡報應是顯露的法律
本心是非是內在的法律
世事倫常是共遵的法律
天理因果是最高的法律
Karmic retribution is the visible law.
Conscience is the inner law.
Custom is the common law.
Causality is the ultimate law.
心安茅屋穩
性定菜根香
世事靜方見
人情淡始長
A peaceful mind abides joyfully in a hut.
An equable mind savors the simplest fare.
A tranquil mind comprehends the world.
A tolerant mind makes lifelong friendships.
化愚就是智
去迷就是悟
除惡就是善
離妄就是真
Transform stupidity to wisdom.
Banish ignorance to gain enlightenment.
Avoid evil to be good.
Abandon delusion to seek the truth.
水的仁慈能沐浴衆生，可以澤及萬物
水的義氣能揚清激濁，可以蕩滌汙垢
水的勇猛能柔而堅強，可以弱而克剛
水的智慧能疏通江河，可以自成盈滿
The compassion of water bathes and nurtures all sentient beings.
The justice of water purges defilement.
The courage of water tenderly subdues the stubborn.
The wisdom of water makes rivers flow.
父母田中種植孝養
師長田中種植恭敬
病患田中種植救護
叁寶田中種植供養
Cultivate the merits of filial piety for your parents.
Cultivate the merits of respect for your teachers.
Cultivate the merits of caring for patients.
Cultivate the merits of offering to the Triple Gem.
想要得福先惜福
想要惜福先知福
想要知福先行福
想要行福先有福
To gain merit,cherish merit first.
To cherish merit,know merit first.
To know merit,practice merit first.
To practice merit,have merit first.
守持戒法如璎珞，可以莊嚴身心
守持戒法如明燈，可以照破癡暗
守持戒法如甘霖，可以解除幹旱
守持戒法如城池，可以抵擋魔外
Precepts are the jewels that adorn body and mind.
Precepts are light breaking through darkness.
Precepts are the rain after a drought.
Precepts are a moated castle holding off the enemy.
守持戒法如良藥，可以醫療煩惱
守持戒法如水囊，可以解除幹渴
守持戒法如明師，可以遵正方向
守持戒法如護照，可以方便遠遊
Precepts are medicine for defilement.
Precepts are water for thirst.
Precepts are teachers who show the way.
Precepts are passports to travel abroad.
能降伏貪瞋煩惱的人
才能得到法喜安樂
能體證無我空慧的人
才能達到涅槃解脫
Whoever can subdue greed,hatred,and delusion can possess Dharma joy.
Whoever can realize the nature of emptiness can reach nirvana and be liberated from suffering.
內心的昏闇，因忏悔而光明
無邊的煩惱，因忏悔而止息
堅固的憍慢，因忏悔而柔軟
覆藏的恐懼，因忏悔而安樂
Darkness of mind becomes bright through repentance.
Endless troubles cease through repentance.
