面對死亡，要有如遊子回家的歡喜
面對死亡，要有如囚犯釋放的自由
面對死亡，要有如落葉歸根的自然
面對死亡，要有如空山圓月的明淨
Facing death,be happy like a wanderer returning home.
Facing death,be free like a prisoner released.
Facing death,be natural like a fallen leaf.
Facing death,be pure like the full moon.
宰殺豬羊的屠夫
因放下屠刀，立地成佛
惡貫滿盈的魔鬼
因丟棄利刃，成爲聖賢
A butcher can become a Buddha after laying down the knife.
A demon can become a sage after laying down the sword.
正念如盾牌
可以抵禦強敵，何衛自身
正見是盔甲
可以抵擋誘惑，遠離叁毒
Right mindfulness is a shield that protects us from our enemies.
Right understanding is an armor that shields us from temptation and three poisons:greed,hatred,and ignorance.
慈悲是人類情感淨化的善美境界
智慧是菩薩理性緣起的真如顯現
Compassion is pure kindness.
Wisdom means knowing the truth of dependent origination.
花兒吐露芬芳，我們覺得賞心悅目
因爲它是「活」的
樹梢隨風輕搖，我們覺得生意盎然
因爲它是「活」的
鳥兒枝頭鳴叫，我們覺得動聽悅耳
因爲它是「活」的
Fragrant flowers bring joy because they are alive.
Tree give pleasure because they are alive.
Birdsong is agreeable because it is alive.
雲朵舒卷自如，我們覺得自在舒暢
因爲它是「活」的
溪水淙淙流動，我們覺得滌盡塵慮
因爲它是「活」的
人的肌肉也要是「活」的
才能散發出生命的喜悅與希望
Moving clouds make us happy because they seem alive.
Streams make us think of the purging of defildment because they are alive.
Human muscles give us joy and hope because they are alive.
持戒的力量，可以擒拿心中的盜賊
禅定的力量，可以製伏心中的魔軍
精進的力量，可以解開心中的纏結
智慧的力量，可以消滅心中的怨毒
The power of precept can catch the mental thief.
The power of meditation can subdue the mental demon.
The power of diligence can scatter mental defilement.
The power of wisdom can purge hatred.
有發願才會有力量
有功德才能不退轉
With the vow comes strength.
With meritorious acts comes progress.
有佛法，就有辦法
能持戒，就不犯法
Where Dharma is,there lies the way.
Where precept is,there can be no transgression.
煩惱是妄想分別，應該要遠離
生死是曠古秘密，應該要探究
Avoid the defilements of delusion and discrimination.
Discover the ancient secret of life and death.
道，沒有時間，無始無終
所以彌陀才叫「無量壽」
道，沒有空間，無內無外
所以彌陀才叫「無量光」
Just as the t”ao(way)has neither beginning nor end,so Amitabha Buddha is endless.
Just as the t”ao(way)has neither inside nor outside,so Amitabha Buddha is infinite.
貪婪瞋恚去除了，身心才能淨化
自私嫉妒遠離了，心胸才會寬大
Purging envy increases your nobility.
Purging hate and greed makes you pure.
慈悲是弘法的根本
失去了度衆的慈悲，就沒有佛道可成
方便是弘法的應用
不能巧妙運用方便，則不能圓滿度衆
Compassion is essential when teaching Buddhism;without compassion,you cannot attain Buddhahood.
Skill is essential when teaching Buddhism;without skillful means,you cannot save sentient beings.
心正，則本立
本立，則道生
道生，則心淨
心淨，則自然
With righteousness,a good foundation is laid.
With a good foundation,the t”ao(way)arises.
With the t”ao,the mind is purified.
With a pure mind,everything comes into being naturally.
只要不種惡因，自然沒有惡果
想要幸福快樂，便要培養善緣
If there is no evil cause,there is no evil effect.
If you cultivate good causes and conditions,you will be happy.
知足者富
貪心者貧
助人者貴
多欲者賤
Content people are rich.
Greedy people are poor.
Those who help are noble.
Those who desire much are degraded.
心物平等是美好的感受
自他平等是和平的基礎
性相平等是人間的真理
生佛平等是法界的圓滿
The equality of mind and object brings people good feeling.
The equality of self and other lays the foundation of peace.
The equality of nounmena and phenomena shows the truth of the world.
The equality of Buddha and sen-tient beings shows a perfect dharmadhatu.
心無罣礙，方成解脫
能除煩惱，便是修行
Without worry and obstruction,one can attain liberation.
Getting rid of defilement is practice.
凡人有過能悔，然後就能進德
凡事有緣能行，然後就能成功
Repentance enhances virtue.
Acting with causes and conditions leads to success.
凡事緣聚而成
凡事緣散而滅
有了因緣，事事順遂
因緣不合，處處失利
Things arise out of causes and conditions.
Things disappear out of causes and conditions.
With causes and conditions,all goes well.
Without good causes and conditions,success is impossible.
喜舍好比播種
懂得播種，必然有所收成
貪婪仿佛掘根
根本不固，難果實累樹
Joyful giving,like sowing seeds,produces a rich harvest.
Greed,like pulling rice out by the root,deprives us of a decent harvest.
感謝過去的因緣
珍惜現世的果報
建設現世的因緣
培植未來的果報
Be grateful to past causes and conditions and cherish their fruit in your present life.
Build up causes and conditions in your present life to nurture the fruit of your future life.
小水一滴，不斷滴落
可穿透磐石，更可潤澤大地
星星之火，接續蔓延
可燎燒原野，更可溫暖人間
小小種子，灌溉栽培
可長成大樹，更可遮蔭避雨
Water that breaks rocks softly nurtures crops.
Fire that burns crops gently warms homes.
Tiny seeds become trees to shade passersby.
太子年幼，長大成人
可爲王當權，更可統治全國
沙彌雖小，年事漸大
可成就諸法，更可趨入聖道
兒童初長，慧解日增
可所學俱全，更可爲國棟梁
Great kings were once little princes.
Great sages were novice monks.
World-revered personages were babbling infants.
