  Jingxingguo

  佛教術語。境,指佛教徒修行所應分別觀察的諸法境界,包括佛教所講的叁科、五位、百法、四谛、十二因緣等世出世法。行,指修行,即對上述諸法境界分別觀察其孰善孰惡,應斷應修,進行聞思修,斷除煩惱,求證聖果的思想行爲。可分爲有漏行、無漏行兩類。無漏行中又可分聲聞行、緣覺行、菩薩行叁種。由于行的不同,所得的果報亦各異。果,指修行斷煩惱所得的果報,修有漏善行,感人天妙果;修無漏行,得無漏聖果。此中可分“分果”和“滿果”兩種。分果即斷一分煩惱,得一分果。如修聲聞行有四果之分,修菩薩行有十地之別。滿果則修聲聞行最終得阿羅漢果,修緣覺得最終得獨覺果,修菩薩行最終得大覺果。由于各宗派各經論的主張不同,對于境行果的解釋也各有差別。如法相宗主張對一切法分別觀察其叁性有體無體、有爲無爲等爲境;對于已知境法習聞思修叁慧、修五重唯識觀爲行,修無漏行永斷諸障,得大菩提爲果。又對《唯識叁十頌》的分科,以前二十五頌爲境,中四頌爲行,末一頌爲果。《大乘起信論幽贊》則主張一心、叁大(體大、相大、用大)爲境,四信(信根本真如、信佛、信法、信僧)、五行(施、戒、忍、進、止觀)爲行,以分果(隨分覺,即隨去一分染迷得一分淨覺)、滿果(究竟果,成佛)爲果。(劉明淵)

  越南佛教滅喜禅派(又稱南方派)創始人。其名意譯爲滅喜。南天竺人,出身婆羅門,曾周遊印度,學習和研究佛教。南朝陳太建六年(574)到達長安,從中國禅宗叁祖僧璨參學,後至廣州製旨寺從事譯經,譯有《象頭精舍經》和《報業差別經》。在中國居住7年,太建十二年到達越南,住河東法雲寺,翻譯《大乘方廣總持經》等。在越地14年,創立滅喜禅派。臨終前將心印(意即不立文字,不依言語,以心爲印)傳授弟子法賢。他是越南禅宗的始祖,對越南佛教的發展卓有貢獻。《禅苑傳燈輯錄》中有毗尼多流支的傳記。(梁志明)

  北魏僧人。佛經翻譯家。一譯菩提留支,意譯道希。北印度人。深悉叁藏,顯密兼通。北魏永平元年(508)攜大量梵本,經蔥嶺來洛陽。宣武帝慰勞禮遇,請居靈太後所建規模宏麗的永甯寺。當時,該寺有印度、西域僧700人,而以菩提流支爲翻譯的宗主。後隨東魏遷到邺城(今河北臨漳),繼續翻譯。到天平二年(535),前後20余年所譯經論,據唐《開元釋教錄》刊定,有《金剛般若波羅蜜經》1卷、《彌勒菩薩所問經》1卷、《勝思惟梵天所問經》6卷、《深密解脫經》5卷、《入楞伽經》10卷、《大薩遮尼乾子所說經》10卷、《彌勒菩薩所問經論》5卷、《究竟一乘寶性論》4卷(阙本)、《法華經論》2卷、《寶積經論》4卷等共30部,101卷。據李廓《衆經目錄》所記,他室內梵本萬夾,譯稿滿屋。其翻譯偏重大乘瑜伽行派的學說。《十地經論》系與勒那摩提等共譯,主張阿梨耶識爲諸法緣起的根本。他和弟子道寵號稱相州北道系,爲地論學派內兩個對立的流派之一。所譯《入楞伽經》,對于北方禅師的修禅,有一定的影響。他又以《觀元量壽經》授與修習淨土的昙鸾,並譯有《無量壽經論》,對于淨土宗的建立也起了很大的作用。在判教方面有獨到的見解。智顗的《法華玄義》說他主張二時教,即佛成道後12年內所說法都是半字教,12年後所說才是滿字教。窺基在《大乘義林章》則說他主張一音教,即佛用一音說法,衆生隨不同的根性而獲得不同的理解。(蘇晉仁)

中國百科全書 【404】月稱(Candrakirti 約7世紀中葉)

  古印度佛教僧人,印度佛教大乘中觀派的主要代表人物之一。生平不詳。傳說他出身于南印度薩曼多婆羅門種姓。少年出家,師承佛護的弟子蓮花覺。精通佛護一系的中觀學說。曾任那爛陀寺住持,並曾與月官進行過辯論。後又在南方,弘揚佛法,興建寺廟。最後逝于摩  藩伽山。他發揮了中觀無自性學說,反對瑜伽行派的阿賴耶識,不同意立自證分。承認有離心的名言外境,但認爲無論是世俗谛、勝義谛外境都無自性,反對清辨的世俗谛有自性。他把龍樹的緣起性空的理論發展成性空緣起,並發展了如何安立煩惱障和所知障的二障差別,以及佛果位的盡有智如何觀照世俗谛的理論。在方法論上,他發揚了佛護的傳統,對論敵的觀點采用歸謬論證法,嚴格地只破不立,以破顯宗。因此被稱爲“隨應破派”或“應成派”現存的月稱著作有十余部,既有中觀通論性質的著作,也有對龍樹的《中論》、《六十頌正理論》、《七十頌性空論》和提婆的《四百論》所作的注。主要有《入中論》、《中觀根本明句論》(又名《明句論》)、《六十道理論釋》、《七十空性論釋》、《菩薩瑜伽行四百論廣釋》等。其中《中觀根本明句論》,梵本已由西方學者校刊出版。蘇聯謝爾巴茨科依還將其中的第一品《觀象品》與本宗的最後一品《觀涅  品》譯成英語。日本荻原雲來譯出其中的六品,山口益譯出了十一品。《入中論》西方學者也已校印,法尊則從藏譯本譯成漢語。

  隨應破派由于月稱的努力而大張其勢,不僅與瑜伽行派相對立,而且與中觀自立量派相抗衡。月稱的學說通過阿底峽完整地傳入西藏,中經宗喀巴等人的提倡,在西藏十分流行。(方廣  )

In  A.  II,  86  it  is  said:
"With  regard  to  those  moral  states  connected  with  and  corresponding  to  the  genuine  pure  conduct,  he  is  morally  strong,  morally  firm  and  trains  himself  in  the  moral  rules  taken  upon  himself.  After  overcoming  the  3  fetters  (ego-belief.  sceptic  doubt  and  attachment  to  mere  rules  and  ritual;  s.  samyojana)  he  becomes  one  who  will  be  ”reborn  seven  times  at  the  utmost”  (s.  Sota^panna)  and  after  only  seven  times  more  wandering  through  this  round  of  rebirths  amongst  men  and  heavenly  beings,  he  will  put  an  end  to  suffering."

”things  to  be  realized”.  Recollection  of  former  states  of  existence  is  to  be  realized  through  remembrance  (abhin~n~a^  4;  q.v.).  The  vanishing  and  reappearing  of  beings  is  to  be  realized  through  the  divine  eye  (abhin~n~a^  5;  q.v.).  The  8  deliverances  (vimokkha,  q.v.)  are  to  be  realized  through  the  mental  group  (ka^ya,  here  feeling,  perception,  mental  formations;  s.  ka^ya).  The  extinction  of  cankers  is  to  be  realized  through  insight  (vipassana^).
