梵语das/a　　dis/ah!，巴利语　　dasa　　disa^。为四方、四维、上下之总称。即指东、西、南、北、东南、西南、东北、西北、上、下。佛教主张十方有无数世界及净土，称为十方世界、十方法界、十方净土、十方刹等。又其中之诸佛及众生，则称为十方诸佛、十方众生。［观佛三昧海经卷四、大佛顶首楞严经卷四、十住毗婆沙论卷五除业品］
