  Chengweishilun

  佛教論書。又名《淨唯識論》,簡稱《唯識論》。玄奘糅譯印度親勝、火辨、難陀、德慧、安慧、淨月、護法、勝友、勝子、智月等十大論師分別對《唯識叁十頌》所作的注釋而成。10卷。傳說玄奘留學印度時,曾廣收十家注釋(每家各10卷),並獨得玄鑒居士珍藏的護法注釋的傳本。回國後,原擬將十家注釋全文分別譯出,後采納窺基建議,改以護法注本爲主,糅譯十家學說,由窺基筆受,集成一部。

  集注  玄奘糅合十家之說,又經剪裁組織,各家原說很難分辨。窺基所作疏釋,以護法之說爲正義,故釋文所引《唯識叁十頌》頌文,可能有采用護法一系所用的本子,個別地方與現存梵文、藏文本頗有出入。開頭的“序頌”和末尾的“結頌”,也爲護法釋論所原有。本文釋《唯識叁十頌》的叁段區分,相傳是按《華嚴經》求法品的相、性、位來分的,也是護法釋論的原式。對于糅合難陀、安慧等各家之說,相同者從略,不同的則以“有義”字樣存其另說。通常將被認爲不正確的說法列于前,而以護法的簡別和所得的結論居後,以示正宗之所在。沈玄明的《成唯識論後序》說:“糅茲十釋四千五百頌,彙聚群分,各遵其本,合爲一部,勒成十卷。……文同義異,若一師之製焉。”漢譯行世後,影響甚大,成爲法相宗所依據的重要論書之一。

  內容  論證叁界的本源是阿賴耶識,都是“唯識所變”,“實無外境,唯有內識”。全論按相、性、位分爲叁大部分:①明唯識相(釋《唯識叁十頌》一至二十四頌)。先釋破異教和小乘的實我實法之執,次釋能變識相和所變識相。能變識相即初能變阿賴耶識相、第二能變末那識相、第叁能變六識(眼識、耳識、鼻識、舌識、身識、意識)之相。所變識相即叁類能變現的見分、相分等。又釋種子、現行、諸業習氣等相,以明生死相續之理。最後,釋叁性、叁無性等相,以明一切唯識;②明唯識性(釋第二十五頌)。闡明具勝義谛的真如。指出諸法實相由遠離遍計所執的實我實法所顯。于一切位常如其性,名爲真如,亦即“唯識”的實性;③明唯識位(釋第二十六至叁十頌)。爲辨有能力悟入唯識相、唯識性的人,在悟入過程中經曆的階段及漸次悟入的方便。依踐行所證次第分爲資糧、加行、通達、修習和究竟五位等。

  注疏  主要有唐窺基《成唯識論述記》20卷(或作10卷、60卷)、《成唯識論掌中樞要》4卷、《唯識別鈔》10卷(現殘存4卷)、《唯識科簡》2卷,慧沼《成唯識論了義燈》13卷(或作14卷、7卷),智周《成唯識論演秘》14卷(或作7卷)。此外尚有圓測《成唯識論疏》10卷,普光《成唯識論鈔》8卷,慧觀《成唯識論疏》4卷,玄範《成唯識論疏》10卷,義寂《成唯識論未詳決》3卷,此與窺基《成唯識論述記》合稱六家。後有玄奘門下新羅一系學人道證集此六家之說而折衷于圓測,著《成唯識論要集》14卷(以上均佚),太賢集窺基、圓測兩家疏解,著《成唯識論學記》(又稱《古迹記》)8卷、《成唯識論抉擇》1卷、《成唯識論廣釋本母頌》3卷(後二書已佚),調和窺基、圓測兩家之說。另有未詳作者的《注成唯識論》殘本(卷十七)1卷。明清兩代,注家不絕。直至近代,歐陽竟無曾撰《唯識講義》3卷。

  日本注疏以良算等所集《成唯識論同學鈔》48卷、善念撰《成唯識論泉鈔》30卷、藏俊集《成唯識論本文鈔》45卷、湛慧輯《成唯識論論疏集成編》45卷等爲最著名。此外尚有英、法等譯本。

  1982年,山西應縣木塔內發現了遼代契丹藏其中有寫經《成唯識論第一》及《成唯識論述記應新抄科文卷第叁》等,爲佛學研究者提供了寶貴資料。(蘇淵雷)
